My Tarot Story

Hi, I’m natalie
Nice to Meet You!

Almost a decade ago, someone I barely knew pulled a tarot deck out of their bag and handed it to me.

He explained that he’d bought the deck ‘with a feeling someone needed it’, and he realised in that moment that the person who needed it was me. While I thought it was ‘sooo cool’ at the time, I had no idea that it would change my entire life.

Since then, the tarot has completely changed the direction my life has taken and shaped the person I’ve become.

Before I owned a tarot deck, I thought it was purely used for divination and predictions, and that you consulted the tarot when you wanted to know what was going to happen next - you’d hear a cool prediction and then wait to see whether it actually happened or not.

But what can you really do with that information?

Sure, it can even be reassuring to hear positive predictions in dark times, but that feeling of comfort rapidly fades, and we’re stuck with the same life, re-living the same old patterns.

In my opinion, using the tarot in this way is a waste of its true potential.

We can’t do anything with predictions.

If you’re dissatisfied with your life in the present, you can’t become happy, content or fulfilled without taking some form of action.

You can’t find the fulfilment you seek without first understanding what’s holding you back from it.

You can’t achieve real goals without taking real steps towards them.

You can’t create change in your life without… well… creating change.

Life is not happening to us. We are active participants in it.

Each tarot card contains a wealth of wisdom and insight that can help us do this. It doesn’t just reflect our existence back to us, it gives us guidance on how we can live better.

Whether you work with me as your reader or your mentor, my approach aims to utilise this wisdom, holding space for where you are and where you’ve been, giving you insight that will help you create a future you’re actually excited about.

I can’t wait to work with you! x

Some Random Facts About Me…

  1. I love the sea! When I first wrote this section a few years ago, I said ‘I could stare at the sea forever and literally never get bored’. This year, my partner and I moved just outside of Brighton, a dream come true. I’m still staring at the sea.

  2. I have an ever-growing collection of tarot decks, oracle decks and crystals (I’ve lost count) and I always light too many candles. Sorry not sorry.

  3. Sharing food is a love language for me. I like to get creative in the kitchen and enjoy making good food for loved ones (and picking out a nice wine to match).

  4. I love storytelling, mainly because I love understanding people. Whether it’s a book, a TV show, a movie or a song, I love to reflect on them, dissect them, break them down (and write my own stories). I also can’t help but find links back to tarot - thankfully, my long-suffering partner indulges me!

  5. I have no fur babies (yet), but my partner and I are frequently adopted by animals. From cats wandering in through the open back door and making themselves at home (and coming back every day thereafter), to birds nesting in our loft every year, we seem to attract animals of all kinds.

  6. I live for finding magic in the everyday. Magic to me can be walking down the seafront in the sun with an iced latte, but give me a steaming hot cup of coffee, a moody playlist full of Noah Kahan, a log burner and a blanket, and I’m just as happy.

  7. If you’re into astrology, I’m a Capricorn sun (and stellium), Leo moon and Sagittarius rising.
